The Connemara day tour from Dublin, takes you to the wild west of Ireland. Experience its lakes, mountains and bogs where the traditions of yesteryear are still very much a part of daily life. This scenic country tour includes a photo stop at the romantic Kylemore Abbey, a 90 minutes boat cruise on the Killary fjord in summer, or traditional sheepdog trials and turf cutting in winter.

ITINERARY
6:30 AM: DEPART DUBLIN We will meet in front of the Molly Malone Statue located on Suffolk Street (map is available within the link to the booking page). We will begin our exciting journey by crossing the west coast of Ireland toward Connemara. We will take an exceptionally scenic route towards Oughterard, which is the gateway into Connemara! While passing through charming little towns along the way, you will have the luxury of encountering views that are truly unmatched anywhere else across the land! Any signs or boundaries do not mark Connemara National Park; you will realize you have arrived from the breath-taking surroundings. Please arrive 10 minutes before departure time.
10:00 AM: Killary Fjord (Ticket Included) Ireland is home to the Killary Fjord, the country's only glacial fjord. Visitors can embark on a 90-minute sightseeing tour of the fjord, marveling at the stunning panoramic views of the rugged North Connemara landscape and the thriving mussel beds. During the high season (April - October), a 1.5-hour boat cruise around Killary Harbour is offered, while in the low season (November - March), visitors can explore the Killary Sheep Farm, observing approximately 200 ewes and lambs that roam freely across the fjord and enjoying a sheepdog demonstration.
12:00 PM: Kylemore Abbey (Ticket not included, optional) Kylemore Abbey offers us the chance for an incredible photo op; once a prestigious female boarding school, now hosts nuns on retreat from around the globe and tourists from everywhere else! Situated at the base of the Druchruach Mountains and looking over onto Lough Pollacappal on Ireland's west coast is its sprawling abbey - truly one of Ireland's romantic places filled with history!

19:30 PM: Arrive back in Dublin We will arrive back in Dublin after an exciting and unforgettable journey discovering the savage beauty that is Connemara.
